Super Five Cards Major Bidding System
Developed by Michel Lebel over French Five Cards Major. Biddings are mostly natural, there are fewer artificial bidding than Two Over One Bidding System. We can summarize the main rules as fllows:
- This system promotes the distribution points more than the other systems. It gives points both for missing cards and the long cards. 3 points for void, 2 points for singleton, 1 point for doubleton, 1 point for every card more than 5 cards in any suit. Additionally there is a support point for every card more than 8 cards of the Trump in partnership.
- It requires 13 HCPs or 14 Total points to start the auction.
- Game open with 5 cards major in all sitting positions. When there is no 5 cards major, longer minor is the openning suit. If the minors have equal lengths then 1 Club in 3-3 distribution and 1 Diamond in the others.
- Major suits have priority in responses to minor opennings
- Strong NoTrump Opennings absolutely deny a 5 cards major.
- Strong or weak 2 level opennings may be applied. In weak 2 level opennings only majors are weak. 2 Clubs openning is game forcing, 2 Diamonds opennings is for normal strong suit opennings for any suit.
